On 4 January 2018, Steve McDougal joined Preqin Solutions as Global Head of Customer Success and Customer Experience, a new role in the newly created Customer Success unit.
Steve brings more than eight years of customer success leadership experience at Thomson Reuters. In addition, he recently worked at Clarabridge (A Gartner magic quadrant leader in CX analytics) as a customer experience expert for some of the world’s leading brands in hospitality, fitness, banking and financial services.
Preqin Solutions is facing rapid growth in the private equity portfolio management space across all global regions. Steve will make sure that each and every customer derives successful business outcomes through their interactions with our platform and people.
He says, “My approach starts with being people-centric as well as customer-centric. Happy employees are more likely to deliver positive customer experience outcomes”.
“I have already built out a Customer Health program which has identified the factors that result in our customers being happy and healthy. We are using the outputs to improve the experience of all customers.”
Steve will train teams in customer success and customer experience best practice, so we can uncover issues quickly, be proactive in our approach and deliver even more value.
Steve and his team will work with marketing, product, sales, engineering, implementations and the executive team in a highly collaborative way, to ensure we maintain a consistent approach for dealing with customer feedback on challenges, driving innovation and identifying new opportunities to do better.
He added, “I strongly believe in customer advocacy and will shortly be launching our first Customer Advisory Board. At Preqin Solutions, we all own and represent the voice of the customer”.
In his spare time, Steve life coaches to help others and writes blogs for the Customer Success Network. He also does work for the LGBTQ community and lives in South West London with his husband James and Beagle called Bobby.
